Sain bainuu!
How many people in this group have traveled to Mongolia? I went in the summer of 2003. I saw Nadaam, went to Tuul Valley, and Gorki-Terelj National Park. I stayed in a ger for three nights, rode a horse on a wooden saddle (OW!), saw the circus, and a live performance of traditional Mongolian music. I have lots of pictures!
Someday I will definitely go back! I have to see the Gobi, Khovsgol Nuur, and the Altai Mountains.

Re: Who has traveled to Mongolia?
Sun, January 1, 2006 - 1:52 PMHello mong im just your average plumber ill never get to mogolia but have seen lots of pics on the net and have built a few ghers. Those people sure know how ta live though don't they. I have researched ghers to the max on the net and i have been awed by everything ive seen, and learned. In fact i keep going back and going through everything every couple months ta make sure im not missing something new. And seen several films on the Discovery channel.Im sure my ghers aren't as nice as thiers but they function very well. I built one to stay in while building our cabin in the mountains of WEST VIRGINIA. It held up very well the first year we used it. It even survived a 3 ft snow fall that trashed one of those portable garages where we stored a few things. If you would like to check out my ghers you can see them at my web site. wvturdwrangler.tripod.com
